Dorsey Strickland

Dorsey Strickland grew up in Bayboro, South Carolina, near Conway. He attended Coastal Carolina University on an academic and athletic scholarship, where he played as a pitcher for the Chanticleer baseball team. After earning his degree in Finance, he worked as a loan analyst at Conway National Bank before pursuing his legal education at the Charleston School of Law.

Upon graduating from law school in 2010, Dorsey returned to Conway to practice law, focusing on Criminal Defense and Family Law. He has represented clients facing a range of criminal charges, from misdemeanors to serious felonies. In Family Court, he has handled cases involving divorce, child custody and support, alimony, property division, and adoptions. This experience has honed his courtroom skills and taught him the significance of building personal relationships with clients.

Currently, Dorsey applies his litigation expertise and client-focused approach to Personal Injury cases at The Derrick Law Firm. His commitment extends beyond his legal practice, as he is actively engaged in the local community.

Dorsey is a member of The Coastal American Inn of Court and serves on the Board of Directors for the Coastal Athletic Foundation, which supports Coastal Carolina Athletics. He is also a Board Member of the Waccamaw Sertoma Club, a civic organization in Conway that aids local charities.
