He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1984, following a B.A. from Clemson University in 1981. His published works include contributions to "Return to Work Issues and Workers' Compensation" and "Advanced Workers' Compensation" for the Lorman Education Institute in 2002.
