Jacob Born

Jacob Born is a founding partner at SBLTV, where he leads the firm's litigation team. His practice focuses on catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases. Jacob represents clients in complex matters such as nursing home neglect, trucking accidents, industrial injuries, and product liability. He is committed to achieving meaningful outcomes for individuals and families against powerful corporate defendants.

A native of Columbia, Jacob earned his undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina and his J.D. from the Charleston School of Law. He holds bar admissions in both South Carolina and Georgia.

Jacob is actively involved in professional organizations, including the American Association for Justice, the South Carolina Association for Justice (Board of Governors), and the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association. His achievements have earned him recognition by Super Lawyers and the National Trial Lawyers Top 100. He is also a lifetime member of the Million Dollar and Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forums, having secured multiple seven-figure recoveries.

As a pediatric cancer survivor, Jacob is dedicated to community service and serves on the Prisma Health Foundation’s Cancer Board. In his personal time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and family, as well as golfing, skiing, and engaging in DIY projects.
