Kelly Alfreds

Kelly M. Alfreds is dedicated to providing her clients with a comprehensive understanding of their rights and the legal and medical processes involved in their cases. By keeping her clients informed, she ensures they have peace of mind and receive the benefits they deserve.

In her practice, Kelly works closely with workers' compensation clients to gather and prepare essential documentation, such as accident reports, medical records, and witness statements. She explains how wage benefits are calculated and prepares clients and witnesses for hearings. By taking depositions from treating physicians and medical experts, she establishes the connection between a client's disability and their work injury. Kelly also ensures that all work-related medical bills are covered, including future treatment costs if the disability is permanent. She negotiates with insurance companies to secure fair settlements for medical bills, lost wages, and lost earning capacity.

Beyond workers' compensation, Kelly handles personal injury cases, including those involving car, motorcycle, and truck accidents, as well as medical malpractice.

Kelly is a certified mediator and an active member of several professional organizations, including the Charleston County Bar Association, Dorchester County Bar Association, Injured Workers’ Advocates, South Carolina Women Lawyers Association, and South Carolina Bar Association. She serves as the First Circuit Representative of the Young Lawyers Division of the South Carolina Bar.

Her community involvement includes membership in the Summerville Chamber of Commerce and serving on the board of directors for the Dorchester Children’s Advocacy Center, where she is also the chair of the Development Committee. Kelly graduated cum laude from the Charleston School of Law and resides in Summerville.
