As the son of a school administrator, his family moved frequently within South Carolina, living in Georgetown, Mt. Pleasant, Walhalla, and Newberry. Cole graduated from Newberry High School and attended Wofford College on an academic scholarship, where he was a Dean’s List student and served as Vice Chairman of the Honor Council. He earned a degree in accounting before pursuing his legal education at the Charleston School of Law, where he excelled on the Dean’s List and as a member of the Moot Court Board.
After law school, Cole secured a prestigious judicial clerkship with The Honorable J. Ernest Kinard, Jr. This experience provided him with invaluable insights into the justice system and solidified his interest in litigation.
