Jana Lamanna

Jana Davis Lamanna brings more than two decades of legal expertise, focusing on Divorce, Family Law, Probate Law, Guardian/Conservatorship Law, Estate Planning, Medical Malpractice Defense, and Assisted Reproductive Technology Law. She holds memberships in the American Bar Association's Family Law Section and its Assisted Reproductive Technologies Committee, as well as the American Society for Reproductive Medicine's Legal Professional Group. Her professional affiliations extend to RESOLVE, the Tennessee Bar Association, and the Memphis Bar Association, where she has previously held roles on the Board of Directors and as Chair of the Litigation Section. Jana is an active member of the Leo Bearman Chapter of the American Inns of Court, Wealth Counsel, and the Association of Women Attorneys, and she is a fellow of the Memphis Bar Foundation.

Jana's accolades include being named a “Rising Star” in Family Law in the Mid-South by Super Lawyers and being recognized as one of the Top 40 under 40 by the Memphis Business Journal in 2008. She is also a graduate of the Memphis Leadership Academy Fellows program. Her community involvement includes board positions with the Memphis Bar Association, the Junior League of Memphis, Playhouse on the Square, Dress For Success, and Family Services of the MidSouth.

In recent years, Jana has delivered presentations on topics such as the intersection of Surrogacy Contract and Adoption Law at the 2020 Tennessee Trial Lawyers Domestic Law Forum, and “Baby Steps in Surrogacy Law” at the 2019 Memphis Bar Association Bench Bar Convention. She frequently addresses other probate and family law topics.

Originally from New Madrid, Missouri, Jana earned her B.A. in English from the University of Mississippi in 1997, an M.B.A. from Christian Brothers University in 1999, and her Juris Doctorate from Mississippi College School of Law in 2004, including a year as a visiting student at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
