Corey B. Trotz grew up in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where he developed a strong work ethic through various jobs alongside his father, a building contractor, and at a local pizza restaurant. These early experiences taught him the value of hard work and effective communication. He graduated from the McCallie School in Chattanooga in 1981, where he was active in varsity tennis and wrestling.

Mr. Trotz pursued higher education at the University of Florida, majoring in accounting, and displayed leadership as a governor in the School of Accounting, managing policy and social activities. He then attended the University of Memphis, Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, where he was a Bar Governor and served as a Law Clerk for Judges Wyeth Chandler and Charles O. McPherson of the Circuit Court of Shelby County, Tennessee.
