Laquita R Stokes

Laquita R Stokes is the Managing Partner at Stokes & Glass, PLLC, located in the I-Bank Tower on Poplar Avenue, Memphis. As a Rule 31 Listed Mediator, she offers comprehensive legal services with a focus on family law, including divorce, child support, visitation, custody, and adoption cases. Her practice areas also extend to entertainment law, business law, and personal injury. Notably, in 2013, she led a pivotal child support case before the Tennessee Appellate Court that impacted paternity law.

Attorney Stokes earned her Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Kentucky College of Law, and attended Vanderbilt University College of Arts & Sciences as well as Whitehaven High School. Her leadership as the 2022 President of the Ben F. Jones Chapter of the National Bar Association was marked by significant achievements, including raising over half a million dollars, increasing membership, and hosting the NBA’s 97th Annual Convention. Under her guidance, the chapter was recognized as the “2022 Outstanding Affiliate Chapter of the Year.”

Her professional service includes roles with the Ben F. Jones Chapter of the National Bar Association, Memphis Bar Association, Association for Women Attorneys, Memphis Leadership Foundation, On-Location Memphis, Shelby County Law Library Board, and Charis Acres, a retirement home in Memphis.
