Tyler DeWitt

Tyler DeWitt offers extensive experience in representing a diverse clientele, including individuals, small businesses, corporations, and estates. His practice is concentrated on federal and state tax controversy and litigation. Tyler adeptly handles cases involving tax-related criminal charges, IRS collections such as garnishments, levies, liens, and IRS Revenue Officer enforcement. He is skilled in managing disputes in the U.S. Tax Court, audits, tax debt settlements, international tax matters, back tax return filings, and certain state Sales & Use tax issues, both civil and criminal.

In addition to his legal practice, Tyler is a well-regarded speaker and shares his knowledge as both an attorney and a certified public accountant. He serves as an Adjunct Professor of Tax and contributes to continuing education courses aimed at lawyers and accountants.

Before establishing DeWitt Tax Law, Tyler was a Principal Attorney at a tax controversy law firm. His career also includes serving as a Tax Analyst for Federal Express, a Fortune 100 company, and working as a legal extern for Judge Bernice Donald of the Sixth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals.

Outside of his professional commitments, Tyler enjoys engaging in politics, outdoor activities, football, basketball, hunting, fishing, and spending quality time with his family.
