Joy Day

Joy Day is distinguished as one of only fourteen female attorneys in Tennessee certified as a civil trial specialist by the National Board of Legal Specialty Certification. She also serves as a Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 31 Listed General Civil Mediator, showcasing her expertise in the field. Joy has amassed over 150 days of trial experience, particularly in high-exposure, complex cases, demonstrating her proficiency and confidence in the courtroom.

Recognized for her legal acumen, Joy has maintained a Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent rating since 2004, the highest possible rating. She has been named a Mid-South Super Lawyer annually since 2009. Joy is admitted to practice in state and federal courts across Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, and Michigan, actively managing cases in each jurisdiction.

Joy's leadership extends to her tenure as past-President of the Tennessee Supreme Court Historical Society and her roles on the Tennessee Commission for Continuing Legal Education and Specialization, where she served as both Treasurer and Chair. She contributes to the legal community as a member of the Content Review Board for the Tennessee Judiciary Museum and is a graduate of the Tennessee Bar Association's Leadership Law Program, where she also served on the Youth Court Advisory Board.

As a founding member of Belmont University's American Inn of Courts and a member of the John Marshall American Inn of Court, Joy is actively involved in professional development. Her memberships include the Tennessee, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Nashville, and Williamson County Bar Associations.
