Layne M. Gillespie graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Experimental Psychology from the University of South Carolina in 2002, followed by a Juris Doctor from the Appalachian School of Law in 2007. Her legal career commenced in Virginia, where she interned for the Honorable Michael L. Moore, Circuit Court Judge for the 29th Judicial Circuit. Subsequently, she served at ChildLaw Services, Inc., advocating for abused and neglected children.
