About Whitney Harrington
Whitney Harrington is committed to maintaining civility and respect throughout the divorce process. She prioritizes educating her clients about their legal rights and options, empowering them to make informed decisions for their family's future. Recognizing that while a marriage may end, the family remains, she tailors solutions to each client's unique needs.
With extensive trial and courtroom experience, Ms. Harrington understands that sometimes the best outcomes are achieved by returning decision-making power to her clients rather than leaving it to a judge. As a trained and Rule 31 Listed mediator, she seeks outcomes that benefit all parties involved.
Ms. Harrington is a graduate of the University of Memphis, earning her Bachelor of Arts in 1998 and her Juris Doctorate in 2001. She has been admitted to practice law in Tennessee since 2001, in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Tennessee since 2006, and in Colorado since 2008 (currently inactive).
During law school, she externed with U.S. Magistrate Judge Diane Vescovo and clerked for U.S. District Court Judge Daniel Breen. Her career has spanned Chattanooga, Memphis, Franklin, and a period in Colorado, focusing exclusively on domestic relations since 2010.
Ms. Harrington is an active member of the American Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Association, Williamson County Bar Association, and Tennessee John Marshall American Inn of Court. She has served on the Board of Directors for the University of Memphis Band Alumni Association and the Board of Directors for DuBose Episcopal Conference Center. Outside of work, she enjoys fantasy football, supports the Memphis Tigers, and cherishes life in Franklin with her husband and two children.
