Barbara Boone McGinnis

Barbara Boone McGinnis is a distinguished Elder Law Attorney certified by the National Elder Law Foundation and serves clients from Gallatin, Tennessee. Before embarking on her legal career, Barbara dedicated over 20 years to the healthcare field as a Registered Nurse and Gerontological Nurse Practitioner. Her extensive experience spans hospitals, long-term care facilities, outpatient clinics, and home health care. She has also held roles in executive management, sales, consulting, and business development, including nearly a decade as Director of Nursing Services at a major continuing care retirement community in the Nashville area.

Barbara's personal experiences, including supporting her family through her father's Alzheimer's Disease, have deepened her empathy and understanding of the challenges faced by families dealing with aging and long-term illness. She has served as president of the Life Care Planning Law Firms Association and chaired the Elder Law Section of the Tennessee Bar Association. Additionally, Barbara is a principal at Life Care Consulting LLC, where she aids attorneys in establishing successful Life Care Planning practices.
