Sarah Durham

Sarah Durham has a profound passion for the intricacies of Texas and Federal appellate and post-conviction writ work. Her journey began in Decatur, Texas, where she was raised before earning a master's degree in education. She initially embarked on a career teaching English at high schools in Decatur and Hallsville, Texas.

After careful consideration, Sarah transitioned to law, obtaining her degree from the University of North Texas Dallas College of Law. Her interest in appellate advocacy was influenced by her parents, who both retired from legal professions. Sarah applies her keen attention to detail and ability to simplify complex issues to advocate for her clients across Texas and the United States.

Sarah's typical week involves drafting briefs for intermediate courts of appeals throughout Texas, preparing writs of habeas corpus, and submitting petitions for discretionary review to the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals. During her time in law school, she gained valuable experience through internships and clerkships at both federal and Texas state courts of appeal.

In addition to her legal practice, Sarah was a founding officer of the UNT College of Law’s Christian Legal Society for two years. She is also a proud member of the State Bar of Texas Bar College.
