About Chris Hoffman
Chris Hoffman is a seasoned trial lawyer and a founding partner of Make Right Law. He specializes in serious personal injury, wrongful death claims, and fire damage resulting from negligently started wildfires. A second-generation attorney, Chris literally grew up in the legal environment, living in his father’s law office, which is now the current Texas location of Make Right Law.
Chris's legal journey began early, working various roles in his father Tim Hoffman's firm. He pursued higher education at the University of Texas, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy with Honors, and later graduated near the top of his class from the University of Texas Law School with Honors in 1997.
His career started as a staff attorney at the Texas Department of Insurance, where he enforced actions against insurance law violations. After a year, he returned to his father's firm, Hoffman, Sheffield & Sauseda, becoming a partner in 2001, which led to the formation of Hoffman, Sheffield, Sauseda & Hoffman, PLLC.
Chris is deeply engaged in professional circles, having served as President of the Panhandle Trial Lawyers Association and as a Board Member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association. He is also a member of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association, active in Auto/Truck Injury and Medical Malpractice groups.
In 2010, Chris expanded his practice to Colorado, obtaining his license and opening a Denver office for his firm. Practicing in both Texas and Colorado, he formed Make Right Law in 2023 with Joe Lovell after his partners transitioned to Of Counsel roles.
