Joe L. Lovell

Joe L. Lovell, a founding partner of Make Right Law, is a seasoned trial lawyer with a focus on complex civil litigation, including catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, and fire damage claims. He also handles a variety of civil and business disputes. Licensed in Texas, New Mexico, and Colorado, Joe began his legal journey in Amarillo, Texas, in 1987, following a career in commercial banking.

Joe was instrumental in establishing Lovell, Lovell, Newsome & Isern, L.L.P., later succeeded by Lovell, Lovell, Isern & Farabough, L.L.P. With over 35 years of trial experience, he is among the few Texas lawyers who are double Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law and Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. In addition to his extensive trial work, Joe has a significant civil appellate practice, contributing to numerous published opinions in state and federal courts.

Joe graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics, magna cum laude, in 1980. After four years in commercial banking, he returned to earn his law degree from Texas Tech University School of Law, graduating cum laude in 1987.

Respected by his peers for his tenacity and ethics, Joe is known for providing outstanding client representation. He has been recognized in Texas Super Lawyers annually since 2006 and holds a Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent rating. From 2005 to 2006, Texas Watch named him a “Champion of Justice.” His professional memberships include the State Bar of Texas, American Board of Trial Advocates, Amarillo Area Bar Association, Texas Trial Lawyers Association, American Association of Justice, and the Panhandle Trial Lawyers Association.
