Roy Petty

Roy Petty has been practicing law for more than 23 years across Texas, Florida, and Arizona. He is Board Certified in Immigration & Nationality Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, demonstrating his expertise in this field. Roy is known for crafting innovative legal strategies to secure immigration benefits for his clients. He has successfully litigated against the United States government in various District Courts and Courts of Appeals, influencing governmental policies and expediting case processing times.

Roy is currently in his fifteenth year as the host of "La Hora Legal" (Legal Hour), a Spanish language radio show broadcasted in the Dallas metroplex, Austin, Corpus Christi, San Antonio, and in Mexico. In collaboration with the Consulate of Mexico, he produced "Infórmate Dallas" (Informing Dallas), a Spanish language TV program addressing issues faced by Mexican nationals.

Roy has actively fought against unauthorized immigration practices, securing significant restitution for clients defrauded by illegal immigration consultants. He is a member of the Dallas Subcommittee of the Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee of the Supreme Court of Texas. His expertise has been recognized by the Texas Attorney General, for whom he has testified as an expert witness in immigration-related cases, such as State of Texas v. Cuevas.

Dedicated to supporting undocumented individuals and the economically disadvantaged, Roy has worked with various agencies to provide assistance. He is admitted to practice in the United States Courts of Appeals for the Fifth and Federal Circuits, as well as the United States District Courts for the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas and the District of Arizona. A member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, Roy graduated from the University of Arizona College of Law in 1991.
