About Doug Wright
Doug Wright, a Fort Worth native, began his educational journey at Paschal High School, graduating in 1972. He furthered his education at the University of Texas at Austin, earning a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in 1976. Pursuing his passion for law, he attended St. Mary University School of Law and became licensed in 1979. Returning to Fort Worth, where his father served as a Family District Judge, Doug embarked on his legal career.
After nearly three decades in private practice, Doug joined Bailey & Galyen in 2009 as the Managing Attorney of the Fort Worth Office. His practice focuses on Family Law, where he dedicates himself to assisting individuals and families during pivotal life transitions. Doug's career is marked by his compassion and empathy, understanding the emotional and financial challenges of family law cases. He prioritizes personalized attention for each client, recognizing the significance of their legal matters.
Doug has received the Tarrant County Bar Association Certificate of Outstanding Achievement and the Tarrant County Family Law Bar Association Certificate of Appreciation. He served as a Director on the Texas Young Lawyers Association Board from 1984-1986 and has been a member of the Texas Bar Foundation since 1986.
In addition to his legal practice, Doug is actively involved in community organizations such as the Fort Worth Texas Exes and the Paschal High School Alum Association. He contributed as a Boy Scout Leader from 1989-1995 and shared his knowledge as an Adjunct Professor at TCU, teaching Law and the Social Worker.
