Jeffrey Scott Connelly

Jeffrey Scott Connelly is a distinguished third-generation trial lawyer renowned for his diverse legal expertise and innovative approach to complex cases. As the head of Cofer & Connelly's civil litigation practice, Jeffrey specializes in Family Law and Personal Injury matters. He begins each case with diplomacy but emphasizes the importance of trial readiness, believing that successful resolutions stem from the opposing party's awareness of his preparedness to litigate. Jeffrey's trial skills have been proven in jury trials across multiple states, securing justice for numerous clients.

Jeffrey earned his B.A. in Philosophy from the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee, in 2008, followed by his J.D. from Georgia State University College of Law in 2012. He is licensed to practice law in both Texas and Georgia.

Jeffrey's legal journey began as an Assistant District Attorney in Atlanta, where he honed his courtroom expertise as part of the Complex Trial Division. In 2015, he transitioned to private practice, joining a prominent Atlanta firm where he represented plaintiffs in civil actions and defended individuals facing serious criminal charges.

After the birth of his second daughter, Jeffrey and his wife, Angelica, moved to Austin, Texas, to be closer to family. In 2017, he joined the Texas State Bar and began working with a well-established Austin law firm. Shortly after relocating, Jeffrey met Rick Cofer, and the two collaborated on numerous cases, sharing a vision for a modern, tech-forward law firm. This vision became a reality in 2020 when Jeffrey and Rick co-founded Cofer & Connelly, PLLC.
