Peter Walter Weston

Peter Walter Weston has been practicing law for more than 35 years, focusing on Consumer Bankruptcy and Business Bankruptcy since 1994, when he earned his Board Certification from the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Peter graduated with a business degree from Texas Tech University and obtained his law degree from South Texas College of Law, where he excelled by making the Dean’s list and joining the Spurgeon Mock Trial Team.

Before embarking on his legal career, Peter served as an Assistant Professor at Sam Houston State University. He also holds an active real estate broker’s license. Recognized for his professional excellence, he is an AV Rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell, receiving a perfect 5 out of 5 rating from his peers.

Peter is actively involved with the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys and the Houston Association of Debtor Attorneys. Licensed to practice in Texas State and Federal Courts, he frequently participates as a speaker and attendee at the International Bankruptcy Law Conference.

On a personal note, Peter has been married to his wife Kathy for over 30 years. His family includes his oldest son, a former police officer now working for the Department of Justice, and his youngest son Mike, who is also an attorney assisting consumers with debt. Outside of his professional life, Peter enjoys quality time with his wife, two sons, and three grandsons. As an Eagle Scout, he is passionate about outdoor activities.
