Johnathan Spencer Young

J. Spencer Young serves as a Senior Associate Attorney at Sul Lee Law Firm in Dallas, Texas. He is committed to working collaboratively with clients, employing a blend of past experience, empathy, and practical strategies to address legal challenges effectively.

Spencer was born and raised in West Texas and completed his undergraduate degree in government at the University of Texas at Austin. He later graduated from Texas Tech School of Law in 2019, where he held leadership roles as President of the Student Bar Association and Board Member of the Board of Barristers. His involvement extended to the pro bono Civil Practice Clinic and the advocacy program. His article, "You Signed What With Whom? A Comparative Analysis of the Assignability of Covenants Not to Compete," was published in the Tech Law Business and Bankruptcy Journal. Concurrently, he earned a Master in Business Administration from Texas Tech Rawls College of Business.

After passing the Texas State Bar exam in 2019, Spencer began practicing law in Dallas. His civil litigation expertise encompasses automotive liability, construction defect, insurance, general liability, medical malpractice, premises liability, and professional liability.

Spencer is a member in good standing of the Texas Bar and the Texas United States District Courts. He is also active in the Dallas Bar Association, Dallas Association of Young Lawyers (DAYL), and Texas Bar College. In 2021, he was selected for the DAYL Leadership Class.

Outside of his legal practice, Spencer enjoys spending time with his wife and their three dogs, Marley, Mia, and Murphy. He also engages in outdoor activities and home improvement projects.
