Elizabeth Christina 'Christy' Jack

Christy Jack is a nationally-recognized attorney with extensive experience in criminal defense. Over her 33-year career, she has tried more than 200 cases before a jury, specializing in capital murder, murder, and sexual assault cases. Her expertise has earned her appearances on major media outlets like 48 Hours and Court TV.

Before transitioning to criminal defense, Christy served for over 20 years at the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office. She advanced through the misdemeanor section, felony trial division, and Crimes Against Children Unit, ultimately becoming a chief prosecutor for 15 years. Her tenure concluded as a deputy chief and one of only two litigation experts.

Christy has been honored as a Top Attorney by Fort Worth Magazine and 360 West magazine annually since entering private practice. In 2017, she was recognized as a Great Woman of Texas by the Fort Worth Business Press and a Best Lawyer by D Magazine.

In 2011, former Governor Rick Perry appointed her to the Governing Board of the Texas Civil Commitment Office, overseeing the state's most violent sex offenders. She was named chair of the board in 2014 and continues to serve under Governor Greg Abbott. Christy also held the position of past-Chair of the Criminal Justice Section of the State Bar of Texas, representing over 3,100 criminal lawyers statewide.

Additionally, she has served as an appointed director on the Tarrant County Bar Association Board of Directors. Outside the courtroom, Christy is committed to teaching and speaking on criminal justice issues.
