He also handles drug offenses, gun charges, and various misdemeanors.
James has represented clients in hundreds of cases across more than 20 counties, with a primary focus on the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and its surrounding areas. He is proud of maintaining a high rate of case dismissals.

Post-law school, he interned at the Capital Habeas Unit of the Federal Public Defender’s Office in the Northern District of Texas. In private practice, he has gained substantial experience working alongside seasoned criminal defense attorneys.
Born and raised in Dallas, James has always been passionate about advocacy. During his college years, he was a National Debate Tournament Quarter-Finalist. Before his legal career, he coached debate teams to multiple Texas State and National Championships, a role that honed his skills in crafting compelling arguments.
James focuses on criminal procedure, the Texas rules of evidence, and the 6th Amendment’s guarantee of a defendant's right to confront their accusers through cross-examination. Outside of work, he enjoys family time, practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, reading philosophy, and watching classic criminal trials.
