Sean Timmons

Sean Timmons brings a wealth of experience from his time as an active-duty US Army Captain in the prestigious Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) Corps, significantly benefiting Tully Rinckey PLLC's military law practice. His honorable service at Fort Hood, Texas, the largest military installation worldwide, from 2009 to 2013, has equipped him to be a vigorous advocate for service members facing legal challenges.

Drawing from his diverse background as both an active-duty attorney in the Army JAG Corps and a civilian military law attorney, Sean effectively represents service members in administrative and criminal proceedings. Initially joining Tully Rinckey's Albany, N.Y., office as a Senior Associate, he advanced to Partner and then to Managing Partner of the firm's first Texas office.

As the Managing Partner of the Houston office, Sean oversees all operations while focusing his practice on military law, including handling Article 15s, letters of reprimand, courts-martial, and officer/enlisted separation proceedings. His expertise extends to federal labor and employment law cases, as well as security clearance representation.

In addition to his military law practice, Sean is an integral part of the office’s Insurance Law Practice. He assists clients with bad-faith litigation and first- and third-party coverage disputes involving CGL, business auto, commercial and residential property, and ERISA policies.
