Jeffrey Scott Connelly

Jeffrey Scott Connelly, a third-generation trial lawyer, leads the civil litigation practice at Cofer & Connelly, PLLC, with a focus on Family Law and Personal Injury. He approaches each case with diplomacy, yet firmly believes that the hallmark of a great lawyer is the ability to succeed in trial. This belief has guided him in achieving justice for clients through jury trials in various states.

Jeffrey earned his B.A. in Philosophy from the University of the South in 2008 and his J.D. from Georgia State University College of Law in 2012. He is admitted to practice law in both Texas and Georgia.

Beginning his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in Atlanta, Jeffrey gained significant courtroom experience as part of the Complex Trial Division. In 2015, he transitioned to private practice, joining a reputable Atlanta firm where he represented plaintiffs in civil cases and defended individuals facing serious criminal charges.

After the birth of his second daughter, Jeffrey and his family moved to Austin, where he joined the Texas State Bar in 2017 and worked with a respected Austin law firm. In Austin, he met Rick Cofer, and together they frequently collaborated on cases. Their shared vision of a modern, client-focused law practice led to the founding of Cofer & Connelly, PLLC, in 2020.
