Derek H. Davis

Derek H. Davis has cultivated a distinguished dual career in law and academia. Presently, he practices law part-time in Dallas, Texas, with a comprehensive background in general law. His practice areas include business transactions, banking, taxation, contracts, corporate planning and finance, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, oil and gas, litigation, financial services, debt collection, mortgages, secured transactions, bankruptcy, nonprofit law, social security disability, and real estate. Notably, he has represented over 100 nonprofit organizations and holds extensive experience in estate planning and probate, previously certified by the State Bar of Texas as a specialist.

In academia, Derek has served as a professor at two universities, holding positions such as Dean of the College of Humanities and Dean of the Graduate School. He managed a major academic institute and has published 18 books and over 150 articles. For 15 years, he edited the Journal of Church and State, consistently contributing editorial content.
