Jake Estes

Jake Estes is the owner of Estes Law Office, P.L.L.C., with principal offices located in Frisco and McKinney, Texas. His legal practice is exclusively focused on estate planning, including wills and trusts, probate administration, probate litigation, and both contested and uncontested guardianship matters. Additionally, he assists clients with business entity formation.

Before establishing Estes Law Office in 2014, Jake gained valuable experience as an estate planning and probate associate attorney at The Law Office of M. Todd Estes, P.C. in Sherman, Texas. His legal career also includes serving as an Assistant District Attorney at the Grayson County District Attorney’s Office, where he prosecuted felony cases in the 59th District Court, successfully handling over 80 criminal jury trials.

Jake is actively involved in the legal community as a member of the State Bar of Texas, American Bar Association, Collin County Bar Association, Grayson County Bar Association, Paul Brown American Inn of Court, Grayson County Young Lawyer’s Association, McKinney Young Lawyer's Association, McKinney Chamber of Commerce, McKinney Young Professionals, and the North Texas Young Professionals. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Goodwill Industries of Northeast Texas and has previously held board positions with the Estate Planning & Probate Section of the Collin County Bar Association, the Rehabilitation Center, and the Sherman Chamber of Commerce.

Jake is frequently invited to present seminars to businesses, charities, and organizations throughout North Texas. His presentations cover topics such as intestacy, probate administration in Texas, and living trust scams. A popular seminar he offers is titled "Where There's A Will, There's a Way," which emphasizes the importance of having a proper will and powers of attorney for residents of Texas.
