Kimberly Michelle Laseter is a seasoned criminal law attorney serving the DFW area from her base in McKinney, Texas. With a robust background as a former felony prosecutor in Denton County and a chief felony prosecutor in Collin County, she expertly navigates the complexities of the criminal justice system to protect her clients' rights. During her 14-year tenure as a criminal prosecutor, Kimberly has managed thousands of cases and conducted over 100 jury trials, addressing charges from driving while intoxicated to serious offenses such as aggravated robbery, aggravated sexual assault, child sexual assault, and murder.

In her role as the chief felony prosecutor for Collin County’s Domestic Violence Unit, Kimberly handled some of the most challenging and emotionally intense cases in North Texas. Her commitment to defending the vulnerable is evident in her work as a Crimes Against Children prosecutor and as chief of the Collin County Mental Health unit, where she advocated for individuals facing mental health challenges.

Understanding that good people can encounter difficult circumstances, Kimberly is a firm believer in second chances. She passionately leads the nation's only district attorney-led Opioid Treatment Diversion Program, which provides opportunities for individuals to reclaim their lives through advanced medical treatments, resulting in the dismissal of drug charges and expungement of criminal records.

Kimberly is also an accomplished educator, having conducted state-level training for both law enforcement and attorneys. She is a proud member of the Texas Bar College, an honor granted to the top 4% of Texas lawyers and judges.
