Morgan Armbrust

Morgan Armbrust holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a minor in Poverty Studies and Social Justice from Baylor University, where she was an Honors College student. At Baylor, Morgan led the International Justice Mission chapter and volunteered with anti-human trafficking groups like Unbound Waco. Her interest in law was sparked by a lecture from Bryan Stevenson of the Equal Justice Initiative, inspiring her to pursue a legal career that could make a difference.

Morgan's initial exposure to the legal field was through a summer internship at the Sacramento District Attorney’s office in her hometown. Here, she discovered her passion for criminal law but realized her preference for defense work. She spent her final years at Baylor as a law clerk at Callahan & King in Waco, where she embraced criminal defense and advocating for those marginalized by the justice system.

After completing her undergraduate studies, Morgan attended the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento on a full scholarship as a Kennedy Scholar. During her time there, she interned with both the Sacramento and Placer County Public Defender’s Offices, gaining valuable experience even amidst the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and while expecting her first child. Morgan was active in Law Review and the McGeorge Mock Trial team, graduating with distinction and membership in the Traynor Honors Society.

Following law school, Morgan worked at the Placer County Public Defender’s Office (Koukol & Associates) while awaiting her California Bar Exam results. She successfully passed the California Bar before relocating to Texas, where she also passed the Texas Bar Exam. Outside of her legal practice, Morgan enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, traveling, and exploring new culinary experiences.
