Ann Marie Taliaferro

Ann Marie Taliaferro is an associate attorney at Brown, Bradshaw & Moffat, where she has been practicing law since 2000. Her areas of expertise include criminal defense and criminal appeals. Ann obtained her Juris Doctorate from the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah, where she was recognized as a William H. Leary Scholar. During her studies, she contributed as a staff writer and editor for the Utah Law Review and participated in the National Trial Team, achieving semi-finalist status in the Traynor Moot Court Competition.

Before joining her current firm, Ann gained valuable experience as a law clerk with the Utah Attorney General's Office - Criminal Appeals Division and the United States Attorney's Office. She further honed her legal skills through an internship at the Supreme Court of the United States, Office of the Curator. Ann is admitted to the Utah State Bar and is authorized to practice in all Utah state and federal courts, including the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Ann is actively involved in professional organizations such as the Utah Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, where she has contributed to the Amicus Committee since 2005 and served on the CLE Committee from 2005 to 2008. She has been a CJA Appellate Panel Attorney for the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals since 2007 and is a member of the CJA Standing Committee. Additionally, Ann is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

Her professional excellence has been acknowledged by Utah Business Magazine, which named her an "Up and Coming Legal Elite" in 2009 and 2010. She was also recognized as a "Mountain States Rising Star" by Super Lawyers in the same years.
