About Jason Schatz
Jason Schatz earned both his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Utah. Immediately after law school, he partnered with Steve Anderson to establish the law firm Schatz & Anderson, focusing on criminal and DUI defense.
Dedicated to mastering DUI defense, Jason completed the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s (NHTSA) Standard Field Sobriety Test (SFST) Student and Instructor Courses. He further enhanced his expertise by attending both the Intoxilyzer Operator’s and Technician’s courses, as well as the Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement (ARIDE) course.
Proudly affiliated with the Utah State Bar, Salt Lake County Bar, Utah Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Jason has maintained an impeccable record without any bar complaints. He is also a member of the National College of DUI Defense (NCDD) and distinguished himself as the first attorney in Utah to become Board Certified in DUI Defense, joining an elite group of 45 attorneys nationwide.
Jason is recognized across Utah by police officers, prosecutors, judges, and fellow defense attorneys as an authoritative and effective DUI attorney. His reputation for success in defending DUI cases has led to frequent invitations to lecture and teach other lawyers. In December 2006, he was featured on the cover of City Weekly magazine as Utah’s “DUI Guy.”
Known for his work ethic, exceptional memory, and meticulous attention to detail, Jason approaches each case with creativity and determination. He vigorously advocates for his clients at both the administrative and criminal levels, striving to protect their driving privileges and freedom.
