Caitlin M Benson

Caitlin M Benson is a skilled attorney based in Kearns, Utah, specializing in tax-favored financings and litigation defense. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts from Brigham Young University and her Juris Doctor from the University of Utah, S.J. Quinney College of Law. During her law school years, Caitlin excelled academically, earning the CALI Award for Constitutional Law and Judicial Process, as well as the Outstanding Achievement Award in Property Law. Her team also secured the best agreement award at the National Transactional LawMeet, representing her university with distinction.

Caitlin's practical experience is extensive. She served as an honors intern with the Securities and Exchange Commission and a judicial extern for Chief Judge David Nuffer at the U.S. District Court in Salt Lake City, Utah. Additionally, she contributed as a research assistant focusing on patent law, antitrust, and U.S. legal history and was an executive editor of the Utah Law Review.

Before joining Siegfried & Jensen, Caitlin worked as a law clerk for both the Utah Attorney General’s office and Dominion Energy (Questar Corporation). She has represented public and private entities in municipal bonds and project finance. Her prior experience at a litigation-defense firm involved representing insurance companies and handling real estate matters.

Caitlin is admitted to practice in the Utah State Courts, Arizona State Courts, and the United States District Court, District of Utah. She is an active member of the Utah Association for Justice and Women Lawyers of Utah. Outside of her professional life, Caitlin enjoys live music, running, reading, cinema, and spending quality time with her family.
