Ann Marie Taliaferro

Ann Marie Taliaferro serves as an associate attorney at Brown, Bradshaw & Moffat, specializing in criminal defense and criminal appeals. Since beginning her legal career in 2000, Ann has developed a robust practice in these areas. She earned her Juris Doctorate from the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah, where she was recognized as a William H. Leary Scholar. During her law school years, Ann contributed as a staff writer and editor for the Utah Law Review and participated as a member of the National Trial Team, reaching the semi-finals in the Traynor Moot Court Competition.

Before joining her current firm, Ann gained valuable experience as a law clerk at the Utah Attorney General's Office - Criminal Appeals Division and the United States Attorney's Office. She also completed a prestigious internship at the Supreme Court of the United States, Office of the Curator. Ann is admitted to the Utah State Bar and is licensed to practice in all Utah state and federal courts, as well as the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Ann is actively involved with the Utah Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, where she has served on the Amicus Committee since 2005 and was part of the CLE Committee from 2005 to 2008. She has been a CJA Appellate Panel Attorney for the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals since 2007 and currently contributes to the CJA Standing Committee. Additionally, Ann is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

Her professional excellence has been recognized by Utah Business Magazine, naming her as an "Up and Coming Legal Elite" in 2009 and 2010. Furthermore, Super Lawyers acknowledged her as a "Mountain States Rising Star" in the same years.
