Charles Mudd

Charles Lee Mudd Jr. leads Mudd Law, a firm with offices in Chicago, Illinois; Park City, Utah; and Houston, Texas. His practice encompasses a broad spectrum of business legal issues, emphasizing intellectual property, Internet law, and emerging technology. The firm serves clients ranging from local to international, providing comprehensive legal solutions.

Mr. Mudd holds a B.A. in philosophy and a Master of Arts in political science from Purdue University, and he earned his Juris Doctor from the Quinnipiac University School of Law. Following his education, he completed two judicial clerkships and gained experience in commercial litigation and emerging technologies at a Connecticut law firm. In 2001, he founded Mudd Law Offices, building a reputation for his expertise in Internet and technology-related litigation. His contributions include assisting in drafting proposed state legislation on eavesdropping and other Internet-related issues.

A dedicated educator, Mr. Mudd is an adjunct faculty member at John Marshall Law School, where he teaches courses on technology and privacy. He also guest lectures at DePaul University College of Law. His professional affiliations include membership in the bar associations of Illinois, Connecticut, and Chicago, as well as the American Bar Association.

Mr. Mudd is admitted to practice in Connecticut, Indiana, Illinois, and Utah. He is also licensed to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Districts of Colorado and Utah, the Central and Northern Districts of Illinois, the Northern District of Indiana, and the Northern District of Florida. Additionally, he is authorized to appear before the U.S. Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th and 7th Circuits.
