Michael Russell

Michael Russell began his legal career in 1998, starting as an associate at Stuart M. Bennett, PC in Shelburne, Vermont. By 2002, he had moved his practice to Burlington, joining Hoff Curtis as an associate. He achieved partnership in 2006 and became the Managing Director in 2008.

Michael's practice primarily focuses on consultative and transactional business and property law, though he is also experienced in litigation. He represents a diverse clientele, including corporations in commercial disputes, condominium associations, and parties involved in property and zoning issues. His expertise extends to real estate matters, handling both high-end residential and commercial transactions.

In the realm of business law, Michael serves both large and small enterprises, as well as not-for-profit organizations, guiding them through all stages of business development. His services cover entity selection, business formation, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and general business counsel.

Michael also has a robust practice in probate administration and litigation, revocable trust estate planning, and elder law, focusing on Medicaid planning, asset protection, and guardianships.

He holds a degree from The Colorado College, obtained in 1986, and earned his J.D. from the University of Denver College of Law in 1997.
