Hans Huessy

Hans Huessy offers clients a well-rounded legal approach, informed by his diverse background as an entrepreneur and small business owner. Prior to his legal career, Hans gained valuable insights as an in-house counsel for both a large regulatory entity and a start-up company.

Throughout his career, Hans has collaborated with national corporations and local homeowners associations. He has effectively litigated multi-million dollar construction claims for condominium associations and resolved numerous construction disputes for a national contractor referral service. His expertise extends to representing utilities in power purchase disputes and environmental insurance actions. Hans has also achieved significant reductions in property tax assessments for large property owners and condominium associations.

Before joining MSK, Hans was a Partner and Shareholder at Kenlan Schwiebert Facey & Goss, P.C. His prior roles include serving as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for the Home Service Store (HSS), where he provided commercial litigation, administration, construction, contract, and employment law services.

Earlier in his career, Hans was Senior Corporate Counsel for Central Vermont Public Service Corporation, Vermont’s largest utility. He holds degrees from the University of Vermont (1980) and Vermont Law School (1991), where he earned both a J.D. and a Masters in Environmental Law.
