David Hagan

David Hagan, an associate at Friedman, Grimes, Meinken & Leischner PLLC, brings expertise in family law and criminal defense. He manages litigation in various domestic relations areas, including adoptions, divorce, child custody and support, spousal support, equitable distribution, settlement agreements, property rights, prenuptial agreements, and post-divorce disputes. Additionally, David represents clients in protective order cases and misdemeanor criminal defense matters, such as traffic violations and assault/battery cases. He also provides legal support in estate litigation and other civil matters.

David earned his J.D. from George Mason University School of Law, where he contributed as a student advisor in the George Mason Veterans and Servicemembers Legal Clinic. In this capacity, he offered pro bono legal assistance to veterans and their families, addressing issues like civil contract disputes, veterans discharge upgrades, adoptions, and consumer warranty concerns.

A native of Northern Virginia, David enjoys reading, staying active, and actively contributes to the community through his involvement with Legal Services of Northern Virginia, the Alexandria Bar Foundation, and Colors of Justice.
