Andrew Tank

Andrew Tank is a distinguished partner at Livesay & Myers, P.C., where he dedicates his practice exclusively to family law. Based in the firm's Fairfax and Arlington offices, Mr. Tank provides expert legal representation to clients across Fairfax, Arlington, Alexandria, and the broader Northern Virginia region.

Since beginning his legal career in 2007, Mr. Tank has become a prominent figure in the Northern Virginia legal community. His extensive experience encompasses a wide range of family law issues, including separation, divorce, equitable distribution, custody, visitation, and support cases.

Mr. Tank has played an active role in the Virginia State Bar’s Young Lawyers Conference. He served as Program Chair for the Bar’s annual meeting from 2009 to 2012 and contributed to its Nominations Committee in 2011 and 2012. Between 2010 and 2013, he regularly wrote for “Docket Call,” the Young Lawyers Conference’s newsletter, focusing on family law topics. Additionally, he was a board member for the Fairfax Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section from June 2010 to June 2012.

Born in Michigan and raised in Alexandria, Virginia, Mr. Tank grew up near George Washington’s Mount Vernon Estate. He earned his law degree cum laude from the University of Richmond School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Science from James Madison University.

Recognized for his legal excellence, Mr. Tank holds the AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell and has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America for Family Law annually since 2021. He has been acknowledged as a Super Lawyer each year since 2021, following his recognition as a Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2015 to 2020.
