Amanda Stone Swart

Amanda Stone Swart serves as a senior associate attorney at Livesay & Myers, P.C., focusing exclusively on family law matters. Her expertise spans separation, divorce, custody, and support cases throughout Virginia. Operating from the firm's Ashburn office, she represents clients in Leesburg, Ashburn, Loudoun County, and across Northern Virginia.

Originally from Boone, Iowa, Ms. Stone Swart graduated summa cum laude from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, in 2004 with Bachelor's degrees in Political Science and Journalism. After graduation, she worked in politics in Iowa before moving to the Washington, D.C. area, where she served as a legal assistant and law clerk at several firms in downtown D.C. and Northern Virginia. She later pursued her legal education full-time at George Mason University School of Law, graduating in 2009.

Ms. Stone Swart began her legal career practicing family law as an associate attorney at a firm in Northern Virginia from 2010 to June 2015, before joining Livesay & Myers, P.C. Known as one of the firm's most skilled trial attorneys, she was honored with the Trial Advocate of the Year award by the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association in 2010.

She was recognized as one of 29 Leaders of the Law by Virginia Lawyers Weekly in 2025. Additionally, she was named a Super Lawyer from 2023 to 2025, following her recognition as a Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2019 to 2021. Amanda Stone Swart resides in Ashburn, Virginia, with her husband and three daughters. She actively volunteers with St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Ashburn and participates in the D.C. Chapter of the Creighton University Alumni Advisory Board.
