Lisa Derco

Lisa Derco is a seasoned litigator with nearly a decade of experience advocating for clients throughout Virginia. Before joining BenGlassLaw, Lisa spent nine years as a defense attorney at a prominent insurance company, where she successfully litigated thousands of cases.

At BenGlassLaw, Lisa leverages her insider knowledge of the insurance industry to effectively serve her clients. Known for her ability to connect on a personal level, she prioritizes a client-first approach to achieve optimal results.

Originally from Pittsburgh, Lisa attended Penn State University and is an avid supporter of Nittany Lion football. After graduating, she relocated to the Washington area, working at a non-profit organization while her husband completed law school. Lisa later pursued her legal education at the Catholic University of America School of Law, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Contemporary Health Law and Policy.

Lisa currently resides in Loudoun County with her husband, two sons, and their labradoodle, Benton. Outside of her legal practice, she enjoys food and wine, event planning, and decorating. Lisa also loves traveling with her family, especially to destinations featuring beaches and fishing.
