Shannon K Johnson

Shannon K Johnson established the Law Offices of SK Johnson with a focus on criminal defense and disability claims. After graduating summa cum laude from Utah State University, she earned the Dean’s Scholarship to attend Pepperdine University. During her final year, she relocated to Washington, D.C., to serve in the Department of Justice's Office of the Pardon Attorney. As the first full-time law clerk, she managed numerous requests for sentence commutations, providing recommendations to the Pardon Attorney and the President.

After completing her education, Shannon chose to remain in the D.C. area and served as a Prosecuting Attorney in two Virginia counties. In this role, she handled over 100 bench trials, dealing with a wide range of criminal cases such as DWI, traffic offenses, violent crimes, assault and battery, trespass, shoplifting, and possession of marijuana.

Shannon also gained valuable experience as a claims examiner with the Social Security Administration, where she worked with Administrative Law Judges and the Appeals Officer. Her specialized training in this area has equipped her with insights into evaluating claims and effectively arguing cases before Administrative Law Judges.
