Kari La Fratta

Kari La Fratta is a distinguished trial attorney based in the Charlottesville office of Allen & Allen. With a robust practice in personal injury cases, Kari has tried over 50 cases throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. Her expertise in effective communication is evident both in her client interactions and courtroom presence, ensuring she provides dedicated representation for those seriously injured.

Before joining Allen & Allen, Kari gained invaluable experience representing defendants and insurance companies in a range of cases, including medical malpractice, wrongful death, automobile accidents, premises liability, and products liability. This background provides her with unique insights into the strategies of insurance companies when handling personal injury claims. Kari's legal acumen extends to federal court, where she has argued before the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals on a matter that reached the United States Supreme Court.

Kari's professional achievements have been recognized by Super Lawyers, naming her a Virginia Rising Star in both 2020 and 2021. Academically, she was a double-major in Economics and Political Science at the University of Georgia, and earned her J.D. from the T.C. Williams School of Law, where she was active on the Trial Advocacy Board.

Originally from southwest Virginia, Kari was actively involved in high school athletics, setting state records in basketball and volleyball. Outside of her legal career, she enjoys snow skiing, golfing, scuba diving, boating, and traveling.
