Jamel Rowe

Jamel Rowe is a distinguished partner at Livesay & Myers, P.C., where she focuses exclusively on family law. Based in the firm's Fairfax office, she adeptly handles cases involving separation, divorce, custody, visitation, support, and adoption across Northern Virginia, including Fairfax, Alexandria, and Arlington.

After earning her J.D. from William & Mary Law School in 2012 and a B.A. from the College of William & Mary in 2007, Ms. Rowe began her legal career with a one-year fellowship at the National Council For Adoption in Alexandria, Virginia. Following this experience, she entered private practice, working as a family law associate at two Northern Virginia firms from 2013 to 2019. In 2019, she joined Livesay & Myers, P.C. as a senior associate, advancing to lead senior associate in 2021 and becoming a partner in 2025.

Throughout her career, Ms. Rowe has litigated a wide array of family law cases in Northern Virginia courts, including high-value equitable distribution, custody, support, and military divorce cases. Her expertise and dedication have earned her recognition as one of the Leaders of the Law by Virginia Lawyers Weekly in 2022 and inclusion in the 2025–2026 editions of The Best Lawyers in America for Family Law.

Previously, Ms. Rowe was featured in the 2021–2024 editions of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch for Family Law and was named a Super Lawyer in 2024–2025, following her recognition as a Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2020–2023.
