Michael Jacob Owen Sandler

Michael Sandler has dedicated more than two decades to practicing bankruptcy law, successfully assisting thousands of clients throughout his career. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from The George Washington University in 1989 and his Juris Doctor from George Mason University in 1999.

Mr. Sandler is admitted to the Virginia Bar and all Virginia state courts, including the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia Bankruptcy Courts, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, and the U.S. Court of Appeals, 4th Circuit.

He is an active member of the Northern Virginia Bank Bar Association and the National Association of Consumer Bank Attorneys. His legal journey began with internships at the U.S. Department of Justice and the City of Alexandria Commonwealth Attorney's office during law school. Afterward, he transitioned to private practice and has successfully managed his own firm for over 18 years.

In addition to his expertise in bankruptcy law, Mr. Sandler also practices in uncontested domestic law, covering areas such as divorce, property settlement agreements, and adoptions.
