Morgan Leigh Furman

Morgan Leigh Furman is an accomplished immigration attorney practicing in Glen Allen, Virginia. She holds a Juris Doctor from Elon University School of Law and is admitted to the Virginia Bar. As a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), Ms. Furman is committed to serving the immigrant community.

Before joining Hyder Immigration Law, Ms. Furman practiced at Dyer Immigration Law Group. Her dedication to immigrant advocacy was further honed at the Virginia Poverty Law Center’s Legal Assistance to Victim-Immigrants of Domestic Violence (LA VIDA) clinic. Her passion for humanitarian immigration law was sparked during her time at Elon University School of Law, where she participated in the Humanitarian Immigration Law Clinic.

During law school, Ms. Furman gained valuable experience interning with Church World Service in Greensboro, North Carolina, and with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) in Durham, North Carolina. She was recognized as a Leadership Fellow and an Oak Scholar and served as Editor in Chief of the Journal of Leadership and the Law.

Ms. Furman earned a Bachelor of Arts in Hispanic Studies and Sociology from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. Her academic journey included studies at Universidad Pablo De Olavide in Sevilla, Spain. Following her undergraduate studies, she worked as a paralegal in Richmond, Virginia, for two years.

Currently residing in Richmond, Virginia, Ms. Furman enjoys spending quality time with her husband and dog, visiting local farmers markets, and writing.
