Nupur Sidhu Bal

Nupur S. Bal serves as Vice President and Managing Partner at Bowen Ten Long & Bal, PC, where she dedicates her practice to family law and divorce. Her expertise encompasses child and spousal support, asset distribution, and premarital and postnuptial agreements. Licensed to practice in D.C., Tennessee, Virginia, and the United States Supreme Court, Ms. Bal is an experienced litigator who has managed hundreds of complex trials, settlement conferences, and mediations.

Ms. Bal is committed to preserving the dignity and privacy of her clients, working closely with them to achieve their objectives. Her dedication ensures successful representation, whether in courtroom advocacy or mediation. She currently chairs the Board of Governors for the Virginia Bar Association and is a former chair of the Young Lawyers Division. Her service has earned her the VBA’s Sandra P. Thompson award and Mentor of the Year award.

Recognized as a Virginia “Super Lawyer” by Richmond Magazine and named to Virginia Business magazine’s Legal Elite for several years, Ms. Bal holds an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, reflecting her high legal ability and ethical standards. She was honored as one of the “Influential Women of the Year” by Virginia Lawyers Weekly in 2015 and 2025, and has received the Richmond Times Dispatch Readers’ Choice Award.

Ms. Bal has been acknowledged in the Top 40 under Forty by the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts, and in 2017, Style Weekly named her one of the Top 40 under 40. She was inducted into the University of Richmond’s Omicron Delta Kappa leadership society and named one of Virginia Lawyers Weekly’s Leaders in the Law in 2018.
