James Kessel

James Mick "Jamie" Kessel is a committed advocate for individuals in Virginia who have suffered serious injuries or fatalities due to negligence. He is a seasoned trial attorney with extensive experience in both State and Federal Courts across Virginia. Jamie graduated cum laude from West Virginia University and earned his law degree from the University of Richmond. Early in his career, he gained valuable experience in defense litigation, providing him with unique insights into defense strategies and enhancing his ability to safeguard his clients' interests.

Before joining the Allen Law Firm, Jamie spent eight years practicing as a personal injury attorney in Richmond, Virginia, and West Virginia. He is actively involved in the legal community, serving in the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association and the American Association for Justice, where he was a member of the New Lawyers Division (NLD) Board of Governors for seven years. Jamie is also dedicated to educating future legal professionals and regularly volunteers to judge local and national moot court competitions, emphasizing the importance of the jury system.
