About Steve Miyares
Steve Miyares has been a valued member of the Virginia Beach community for more than three decades. A graduate of Kellam High School, he pursued higher education at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, earning a B.S. in Political Science in 2000. He then obtained his J.D. from the T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond in 2003.
Upon his Virginia Bar admission in 2003, Mr. Miyares began his legal career at the Norfolk Public Defender's Office. Over eight years, he honed his trial skills, defending cases from minor misdemeanors to serious violent felonies. In 2011, he co-founded the law firm of Miyares and Knight, P.C., broadening his practice to cover various civil litigation areas.
Since 2013, after his partner's departure from the legal field, Mr. Miyares has practiced solo. He is committed to fostering strong attorney-client relationships, ensuring clients fully understand their legal situations while providing assertive trial representation to safeguard their interests.
