Nick T. Wright

Nick T. Wright is a dedicated trial attorney in Portsmouth, Virginia, known for his expertise in criminal defense and traffic offenses. He represents clients charged with a wide range of offenses, including assault and battery, underage possession of alcohol, possession of marijuana, and petty larceny. Nick also handles traffic infractions such as speeding, reckless driving, DUI/DWI, and driving on a suspended license.

Nick's academic journey began at Virginia Tech, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Political Science, with a minor in Business. He furthered his education at the University of Richmond’s T.C. Williams School of Law, attending on a full merit scholarship. During his time in law school, he concentrated on criminal law and litigation, gaining practical experience through internships with the Newport News Commonwealth Attorney’s Office and the Virginia General Assembly for Delegate Jason Miyares of the 82nd District.

After graduating, Nick was selected as a Fellow with the Newport News Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office, where he prosecuted misdemeanor and felony charges. This role provided him with a comprehensive understanding of the criminal justice system, which he now leverages to effectively defend his clients.

Outside of his legal practice, Nick is passionate about sports and enjoys attending various sporting events. He spends his summers engaging in activities like golfing, spending time at the beach, or walking his dog, Tyson.
