Marissa A. Olsson

Marissa A. Olsson is a dedicated personal injury attorney who represents clients affected by others' negligence. Her practice is centered on maritime injury claims, catastrophic injury claims, and wrongful death. Marissa is authorized to practice in all Washington State Courts, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington.

Marissa is passionate about justice and advocates vigorously for injury victims. She is an active member of the Washington State Association for Justice (WSAJ) and has co-chaired Women of WSAJ since 2014. Her contributions extend to the legal community through articles on “Above the Law” and appearances on the “I am the Law” podcast by Law School Transparency. A graduate of the University of Washington School of Law, Marissa participated in several clinical programs. As part of the Innocence Project Northwest clinic, she represented individuals with claims of actual innocence. At the Street Law clinic, she taught basic law courses at Seattle's Roosevelt High School. Her internship at Northwest Justice Project involved providing legal aid to low-income clients. During her law school years, she excelled in moot court competitions and served as a research assistant to Professor Kathryn Watts from 2008 to 2009.

Raised in the Seattle area, Marissa enjoys outdoor activities such as rock climbing, skiing, hiking, and mountaineering. She is proficient in Swedish and Spanish.
